Our Story
Wilson Commencement Park is where single-parent families come to thrive. We put families first and support parents and youth on their paths towards self-sufficiency. We work directly with families and provide the necessary resources, assistance, and a safe environment for them to achieve their goals.
With fifty two- and three-bedroom townhomes in a gated and secure community, Wilson Commencement Park offers program-based, affordable housing to low-income, single-parent families. Our Destiny program provides a secure apartment structure with 18 apartment units available for women who have experienced domestic violence and/or live with mental health diagnoses or disabilities.
At Wilson Commencement Park, we believe everyone should have a stable, safe, and supportive environment that leads to growth, success, financial independence, and self-sufficiency.
Our Mission
We strive to assist low-income, single-parent families transition to financial independence and personal self-sufficiency.
Our Impact
Through our programs, we have reached significant milestones and made a true impact in the lives of the families we serve. Our Communiversity Workshops are available to assist families striving to achieve economic and social stability, increase their independent earning power, and break the cycle of poverty and public benefits dependence. Support services include on-site case management, crisis intervention, and life-skills coaching. Ongoing youth development programs are offered for school-aged children and youth, including summer camp.
